Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC Free Zone) – the first Free Zone in Dubai to introduce a mobile parking solution across its community

As of 3rd December, parking hours in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) Free Zone in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) will be from 8am to 10pm, Saturday to Thursday. Applicable fees will be AED 2 for a half-hour, or AED 4 per hour for up to seven hours. The fee for 8 to 24 hours will be AED 32. Parking is free on Fridays

The above update is in line with the recent announcement of DMCC that they have signed a collaboration agreement with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to manage short-term parking across the district.

Under the terms of the 10-year agreement, the RTA have activated smart parking methods across all public car parks in JLT. This allows drivers to pay their parking fees entirely through the RTA’s convenient mParking System via SMS, or through its designated SMART Parking smartphone app.

Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) was established in 2012 and is a firm zone focused on commodities sector and currently hosting more than 11,000 companies with various trading and service activities. DMCC is located around the JLT area of Dubai - goo.gl/6PxQka

DMCC has been recently named the world’s best free zone by the Financial Times’ fDi Magazine for the third consecutive year. DMCC, which contributes nearly 10 percent to Dubai’s gross domestic product was ranked number one in the annual list which evaluated a total of 60 free zones around the world.

The free zone is the fastest growing and one of the most credible zones in the UAE, no wonder why thousands of investors choose to set-up their businesses in DMCC as the free zone is flexible when it comes to issuing various types of licences i.e. Professional/ Service, Commercial/ Trading, General Trading and Industrial – and has a wide range of lease options such as Flexi Desks, Serviced Offices, Physical Offices (fitted and shell & core), and single-family offices. Warehouses are also available to be rented out by companies with industrial licence – outside the DMCC free zone i.e. Dubai Investment Park.
