Do I need medical insurance for a mission visa?

There is no need for the applicant/employer to provide medical insurance for mission visas. There is an insurance policy that will be provided by MOI (UAE Immigration) upon the application of the mission visa. This insurance policy will provide cover for emergency situations whilst the employee is inside the UAE for the 90 days.
