Please note that Qiwa platform has introduced a new registration process for employment contracts with backdated start dates for more than a month, specifically for validation with General Organization for Social Insurance “GOSI”.
Under this updated system, employers are required to submit supporting documentation to justify and validate any backdated employment contract entries. This measure aims to enhance compliance and ensure accurate employee registration records within the system.
Required Supporting Documents:
- Proof of attendance
- Proof of insurance
- Payslip
- Employment contract or signed offer letter
Employers are advised to ensure that all required documents are complete and accurate to avoid delays or rejection during the validation process.
What is the Qiwa portal?
Qiwa is a central online system run by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) that connects:
- Employers (companies)
- Employees (Saudi & expatriates)
- Government services
It forms part of the key portal and compliance requirements for managing workforce and immigration requirements such as employee contracts (Qiwa Contracts). It is important to consult with your administrator or registered CSP in KSA to be kept up to date with changes such as these that require action from the employer and keep the business compliant with Saudi authorities.
