UAE Visas for a visit of 90 days can now be obtained through the Ministry of Interior website www.moi.gov.ae or or through the smartphone application. 

Individuals can now apply for a 90 days visit visas electronically through the Ministry of Interior website and UAE-MOI smart phone application. This e-Service facility allows the applicants to access the visa service, which allows visits under the sponsorship of Emiratis, residents or investor.

The move comes in a bid to create time efficient, user-friendly and simple ways for individuals to apply for a visit visa to the UAE, officials said. The Government also aims to reduce the number of customers to its centres by 80 per cent by 2018.

Lt Col Matar Kharbash, head of the e-Services department for Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs, said: “In order to issue a long-term single entry visit visa for 90 days, with the sponsorship of the public sector and free zones, the applicant must fill out the e-form and attach a copy of the sponsored person’s passport, with a validity of not less than six months.”

Applicants for a long-term 90-day visit visa who are sponsored by someone in the private sector will also need to attach the licence and eGate card. Applicants sponsored by a UAE or GCC citizen must complete the e-form and attach passport copies of the sponsor and person sponsored, valid for a minimum six months.
