Setting Up as a Branch Office

If you are a foreign company executing a specific contract in Qatar, you may establish a Branch Office. In this case, there is no need for a Qatari partner. The contract however, must “facilitate the performance of a public service or utility.”

More Information about Branch Offices:

  • Branch offices are only entitled to perform the specific contract for which they are registered
  • Branch offices must be authorised by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce
  • Branch offices are fully taxable unless granted a special exemption
  • There is no share capital requirement for a Branch Office
