Demand for the Multi-Entry Work Visa in Qatar has escalated as a result of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and other major events, a drive for tourism and ongoing project developments in Qatar.
Qatar multi-entry work visas are for employees working in Qatar for a short period of time. Only government/semi-government and private companies having a valid contract with a government entity may apply for this visa for their staff. The multi-entry work visa is valid for a period of three (3) months and can be extended to up to six (6) months.
- The employee applicant is required to complete a medical examination and fingerprints. For Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Sri Lankan Nationals this must be completed at the Qatar Visa Centre (QVC) in the applicant’s home country, as required when applying for the regular Residency Permit.
- Employees under an MEV would need to receive their salary through Wage Protection System (WPS).
- Employee with a MEV can open a personal bank account in order to receive the salary as a mandatory requirement from the government of Qatar.
